During six open-house weekends, these gift certificates were a gift for joining and as an incentive to attend the open house itself. As a customer loyalty incentive, any existing member who referred a prospect that ultimately joined the club also received a $50 Restaurant.com Electronic Certificate via email.
The promotion with Restaurant.com helped Life Time Fitness increase membership, especially through referrals, and substantially increased their email database of potential leads. The promotion was easily applicable since Restaurant.com offers more than 18,000 partners across the country. Due to the success of this promotion, a co-branded website was created for the redemption of these Electronic Certificates that further promotes the Life Time Fitness brand.
